This book, like Da Camera 17 and 27, is intended to enable recorder students in music schools work on chamber music with their fellow students studying other instruments.
It provides 38 pieces for groups of 2 to 6 performers in different combinations, though with the recorder always featuring in them.
Its repertoire is arranged in parallel with and matching the contents of the tutor Alto Frullato 1 –also published by Dinsic – which, for editorial reasons, is presented separately.
The aim was for most of the instruments studied at music schools to be represented, though bearing in mind the suitability of each combination as a whole. There are also pieces for recorder ensembles.
The repertoire presented here is mostly based on works by composers in various styles, and also on traditional songs and dances.
