A children's cantata for children's choir, soloist, narrator, instrumental group (flute, oboe, B-flat clarinet, bassoon, double bass) and piano.
This piece was written to mark the 25th anniversary of the Cabirol choir of Vic. The text combines the simplicity of its subject with the author's characteristic traits. The music is uncomplicated and easy to understand. It has a fresh agile spirit and is humorous at times, featuring clear melodic lines and a traditional compositional style with minor incursions into more modern harmonies in an only few of the songs.
The solo piano version is not a mere reduction of the instrumental piece but contains a number of special elements, allowing the performance of the cantata with piano accompaniment alone.
