Quadern Schumann per a violí i piano

Some of Schumann’s melodies and pieces most often learnt during the first years of studying piano are from his “Album pour la jeunesse” [“Album for Youth”] and “Kinderszenen” [“Scenes from Childhood”] collections. I do not believe this wealth of Schumann material for piano has any violin equivalent. This is why, when I was invited to adapt some pieces, which pianists normally play solo, for violin and piano, I thought it would be a good way of celebrating the 200th aniversary of the birth of the coomposer.
