This book entitled Elementary études for the alto recorder provides basic material for beginning to learn how to play this instrument. Students should have previously started to work with the soprano flute and should already be familiar with basic techniques. With these études, they will be able to acquire skills for the new fingerings of the flute in Fa. Since this causes some confusion at the start, the initial études are quite simple and move progressively towards a language and towards technical difficulties that are more typical of the end of elementary level.

The book is structured in the same way as those in the Frullato and Alto Frullato series, where fingerings are presented progressively even though it is not indicated here. Instructors will know how to find the fingering novelties provided as they move forward in the études.
