This piece imbues you with overwhelming tranquility and a sense of spaciousness. A constant, perfectly fused interplay exists between the two instruments. It is reminiscent of jazz ballads and popular Catalan folk songs, albeit in an elaborate manner evoking a great fantasy, suggestive of the author's essence.

This piece requires studying the legato and phrasing in the melody, breath marks and articulation. It also requires meticulous care in dynamics and tuning.
This constant dialogue between the clarinet and the piano must be perfectly fused and, therefore, requires good chamber work, especially as regards sound and playing in synchronisation. This piece allows for the use of rubatos, especially in the cadences, to emphasise expression.
