“Sessió de tarda” is my personal tribute to film world. This is why I chose three movies as an excuse for three chamber music pieces for piano four hands. The relation between the movies’ storyline and the music reaches from a direct bond (Tiger and Dragon) and fantasy (La diligència, which is inspired in Rossini’s “Pecat de vellesa” rather than in Ford’s movie) to an absurd and hilarious link (La gata). However, all pieces will give you an opportunity to work on various pianistic effects in terms of sound, technique, chamber music playing and –if your pianists have got a nerve– even in dramatic expression. The pieces are suitable for both students of the elementary level and those of a more advanced level, as all of them will be able to profit a lot of them.
