This anthology is a collection of drinking songs from Catalonia. It is an overview of the music, ritual, customs, dances and witty sayings related to wine and drinking in general.
Many of songs themselves were collected by a number of different scholars in their attempt to gather together, record and systematically study as much Catalan folk and traditional music as possible. To this we have included additional information and other significant musical examples which a well-known Catalan scholar, Francesc Bové, had in his library. Three introductory essays put the subject into wider perspective.
