(Barcelona, 1972). He is one of the few musicians in Catalonia who devotes entirely to this great instrument: the five-string banjo. For several years, he travelled to the USA to learn its secrets from the most worshiped banjo masters of bluegrass and folk music. He studied with Bill Keith, Tony Trischka, Pete Wernick, Noam Pikelny and Jayme Stone in the USA, with Jean Marie Redon in France and with Ricky Araiza and Sedo Garcia in Catalonia. He already has become a referee in Catalonia. He has been composing, teaching for ten years, giving banjo teaching lessons and writing articles in specialized magazines worldwide. He has performed in important festivals in Europe and the USA with the Barcelona Bluegrass Band, a group he leads with Joan Pau Cumellas. With a wide experience in the field of recording, besides his projects, he has recorded for television, cinema and children’s animation, and has worked with Albert Guinovart. Together with Toni Giménez, he is co-author of the first method for five-string banjo published in both Catalan and Spanish. He organizes and coordinates the Al Ras festival, founded nine years ago, which has brought the banjo and its music styles closer to many people in our country.
