I was born in Donosti in the Basque Country one 5th of May, just like the song... There was always music in my family (my parents met in a choir, and it was in a choir that I met the father of my children).
Even back in my student days I was fairly sure that the life of the concert pianist was not for me ' I wanted to devote myself to children.
I left my first job in a school to study music teaching in the Liturgical Music Institute (IML) in Paris for three years.
I love teaching music to schoolchildren, at all levels without exception. I have worked with pupils of all ages ' from 3 years old up to adults, though not with baccalauréat students.
I am now working in the German School and also in the Antxón Ayestarán Music Workshop run by the Orfeón Donostiarra.
I love rhythm and choral music. I play a number of instruments, though at a very amateur level in all cases. I was the conductor for an adults' choir (Eskola) and a children's choir (Orfeoi Txiki) for a few years. Now I conduct in the German School.
I am a resolute believer in the old saw about music bringing people together, communicating, moving people and making life more vibrant.
