Born in Barcelona, he completed a degree in piano at the ESMUC with Maria Jesús Crespo. He continued his piano studies with Ramón Coll and Isobel Anderson while finishing a degree in composition at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Rory Boyle. He was then admitted to the Royal College of Music in London to do a master degree in audiovisual composition. During his career as a pianist and composer he has received more than 13 awards and participated in numerous festivals both in Spain and the United Kingdom; countries where he has performed as a soloist and musician with chamber orchestras and several contemporary ensembles.
He was resident composer at Le Ville Matte 2010 in Italy and his works have been performed by internationally recognised artists such as Maximiliano Martín, Valentino Corvino, Paul Waters and the orchestra director Marco Romano.
Marcos has demonstrated his versatility in the field of music with professional collaborations in the world of theatre, opera, ballet and even cinema.
