Continguts generals

Songs: repertory of songs appropriate to this level.
Auditory training: work on short dictations (rhythmical, intonation, melodic and timbre). Continuation of the sensorial work on tonality. Recognition of some intervals. First contact with the function of Subdominant. Review of the previous contents. Sensorial preparation for the Major-Minor mode.
The dictations are on the CD Música 6 (Music 6) of Guia del Mestre Música 6 (Music 6 Teacher's Guide).
Dance: Divide the Ring (U.S. Western song) and Farkàs Jàtèk ('The Wolf Game': a Hungarian dance-game). The music of the dances is on the Música 6 CD.
Rhythm: review of the previous contents. Quaver-two semiquavers, dotted semiquaver-semiquaver, syncopation (quaver-crotchet-quaver). For 6/8 time: crotchet-quaver, dotted crotchet, dotted quaver-semiquaver-quaver.
Very elementary Orff instrumentations are included for some songs to allow the class to sing and play with guaranteed success.
Times: those already known and introduction to 6/8.
Intonation: review of the C major and G major scales (previous contents). Introduction to the F major scale (with B flat): review of the Major scale model.
Introduction to A minor (relative minor of C major).
Dynamics: continuation of the previous work.
Listening: L. v. Beethoven, M. Mussorgsky, M. Ravel, P. Dukas, J. Brahms, A. Vivaldi, F. Schubert, W. A. Mozart, S. Murzia, B. Britten, G. Gershwin, S. Iradier, O. di Lassus, J. Vives.
Ethnic music, symphony, requiem, Renaissance music, various orchestral and/or vocal pieces, cinema music, etc.
General review of instruments and their classification.
