This work is intended for beginners (children and adults). It includes materials, mostly unpublished, composed or arranged by children and adolescents.
- Its aims are:
a) To encourage learning by a number of different paths and procedures, introducing suitable materials for transmitting and learning directly at the instrument.
b) To offer music students a simple, varied repertoire that brings together various genres (jazz / pop / Latin-American)
c) To highlight the importance of structural reading.
d) To introduce graphics and analogue scores alongside conventional scores.
- The footnotes to each piece provide practical suggestions and exercises to be tackled by the students in their lessons, working with another student or with the teacher.
- The graphics that go with some of these pieces are intended to foster in the students a desire to understand the meaning of the music they are playing.
