Estudis de Bateria (Drum studies)

This book is designed to help develop your vocabulary, reading and coordination of contemporary drum playing at an intermediate level. It includes forty exercises with progressively more difficult rhythms with neither accents nor dynamics and using a 4/4 beat. The vocabulary exercises are essential to understand and learn the contents of the book.
All the vocabulary readings, breaks and fills played on the snare drum as the base will help you achieve a wide creative range of rhythmic figures to play on the drums together with progressive rhythmic patterns. We recommend practising these exercises swapping hands, starting with the right, then the left, and using the metronome at different speeds.
