In these two pieces, El bosc del pare i El mar de la mare (The forest of the father and The sea of the mother), I have used a hybrid and simultaneously enveloping pianistic texture, creating propitious atmospheric spaces that invite the flute –as if it were a free soul– to showcase its expressive and toneful potential. Both works start with a solo flute playing. A musical theme that will repeat and transform over the course of the work.
Dedicated to my dear parents; they are the real stars of my human and musical dimension.
