Contents
Music associations and their marching bands are based in amateur, non-profit, association models. Therefore, they are basic to community networking, cultural dissemination, and an educational space open to everyone.
Although the marching bands are the most visible aspect outwards, in every town in Terres de l’Ebre where a band has been established, two other inseparable factors are always present: the music school, and the community that supports the association.
For all these reasons and many others, it is with joy that I took part in the project of editing, publishing and making available, especially to marching bands, this collection of the most significative pieces of each of the counties that conform the Terres de l’Ebre: Jota foguejada from Benissanet, La dansada from Vilalba dels Arcs, and La preciosa and Lo carrilet from La Cava.
