In this book you'll find teaching material and ideas for activities related to the
sardana and music for
cobla, all based on traditional music.
This material will be useful for teachers, and all those involved in education, parents and grandparents, or anyone who would like to know more about this subject and have fun doing it at the same time.
Here you will find a series of pieces, each with a score and each with commentary and further analysis. Every piece is written for
cobla and is based on a traditional popular Catalan melody. You should find plenty of resources here to work with. There are suggestions for a number of activities, graphic material and an explanation of the steps and movements you need to know to dance the
sardana like a native. We sincerely believe that there is a void here which needs to be filled both from an aural point of view as well as a didactic point of view.
