This edition of the second volume of Iukaidí is a continuation of the same project that was behind the re-edition of Les Rondes de Cançons and Iukaidí 1: to make available once more a number of songs that began to circulate here among us towards the end of the 1960s and that are still going round in people's heads, though the words, music and guitar chords can no longer be found since the song books went out of print.
This collection contains a number of songs that have become mythical, ranging from the eponymous Iukaidí to Kumbayà to Cànon hebraic, and taking in Minyonet and Jingle Bells on the way, not to mention No has comptat mai les estrelles and L'alegre adéu siau.
These songs possess such impressive magic that if they are put on at the right time and in the right place, they can spark off a shower of emotions, like fireworks going off ' even now, just as they did twenty or thirty years ago! A song that moved you once will have a special relationship with you forever after, and you with it, since often when one sings that song again one relives the feelings one had the first time round.
So let's be hearing them!
