Eduard Casals was my first gralla teacher. My first gralla was built by Xavier Orriols, and my first gralla method was written by Francesca Roig and Jaume Arnella.
How many gralla students may have used this method'
During the first gegants encounters within the Vallès area, to the best of my remembrance, only one out of ten pairs of gegants had a gralla group. This was almost 25 years ago.
Thanks to the aforementioned professionals and to other people, students who want to study traditional instruments, such as flageolet, bagpipe, hurdy-gurdy, accordion or gralla (shawm), luckily have more possibilities these days.
This method is the result of the effort of many people to divulge our instruments, our repertoire and, last but not least, our cultural heritage.
