These “Divertiments” are mostly based on Catalan folk songs, mixing sung and recited parts; an idea by Imma Penna.
The melodic lines in the backing parts stem from the elaboration of “Gammas” from the original songs on a completely dissonant harmony. The resulting texture contrasts the sung and recited parts against the accompaniment and transports the audience into a nearly surrealistic, absurd dimension.
