The second work, written in 2009, which contrasts with the first one, was written in one go and seeks to reflect certain characteristics of one particular person, with a writing that, frequently alike in Robert Schumann, uses themes based on numeric symbols and the names of musical notes.
The third work, which followed the second after only a few weeks, is a tribute to a long series of works based on other works. In this case, it uses a theme of a song by Leonard Bernstein. Another ostinato, the simple repetition of the central Do of the piano, establishes a link to the first work, closing the short cycle of “Tres peces per a piano” in a serene atmosphere.
