'Sonatine pour Mykeko' was written in the autumn of 1997 in response to a commission from the pianist Fermín Bernetxea, from Navarra, and it was dedicated, as its title indicates, to Mykeko Bryant, a friend of the composer. This is a work in three movements ' Allegro risoluto, Grave and Allegro ritmico ' that shows great stylistic variety, though unified by the musical personality of the composer, characterised in general by irregular beats, lyricism, the harmonic construction, and a strong Hispanic character in the broadest sense of the word.
Structure
Three movements:- Allegro risoluto
- Grave
- Allegro rítmico
