Three Christmas Songs. Little suite for four-hand piano.
This little suite, based on three popular Catalan Christmas songs: El dimoni escuat (The Tail-less Devil), La Mare de Déu (The Mother of God) and A Betlem me'n vull anar (To Bethlehem I wish to go). is based directly on the ideas and experience of a fellow piano teacher. I have sought to present the three songs in an amusing accessible way, with an abundance of dialogue. You will find these are sparkling pieces that make students feel they are performers and true pianists even if they have only been studying the instrument for two years. Something else you will notice is that these pieces are musically simple but not especially obvious, that is, just the kind of music I myself enjoyed when I was learning to play the piano.
