This little cantata is intended for groups of children aged 5 to 7, and has a piano accompaniment, a part for a soloist and a narrator.. The text is based on a traditional story, in the form of a string that builds up, with the addition of riddles presented by the characters. As for the music, the part intended for the young singers, with melodic phrases from Catalan children´s music, is different form the soloist´s part, which features a harsher language, far removed form those melodic phrases. In this way, two notions of musical language are contrasted.
