Temps d'havanera

In the year 2002, on the centenary of priest Cinto Verdaguer’s death, this poem “La fada de Roses” (Roses’ fairy) from his book “Canigó” captured me and inspired me to put music to it as if it was an “havanera”. It is important to say that the rhythm of the verses and the rupturing sea scenery really suits this type of music. This piece is the instrumental adaptation for cello or viola and piano.
