(Suite in the Old Style)
This work was written in 1974, in memoriam Pau Casals. Its language is wholly tonal, with certain roots in the music of our country. The composer uses that aesthetic approach deliberately to pay tribute to the great master.
Its six-movement structure corresponds to the style of the baroque Suite, with the Bach suites asthe point of reference.
