Audicions musicals

SOLFANÀLISI is a simplified collection of the contents in the second college Music Theory course, which was encouraged by the reflection on my teaching activity over the last years. I have tried to write a practical, handy document to make studying easier and which stayed away from all encyclopedism.
The book is structured in 5 content blocks: theory, harmony, analysis and audition, solfege, and creation. No need to point out at the need to integrate all such elements in classroom, to make students partake of the perception of music as a global, uncompartmented ideal. In this regard, the analysis examples must insist in a thorough listening and corresponding analysis, prior to intellectual construction. However, creation ought to be the way to experiment with and to understand the interrelation between music features and, thus, the way to make learning both meaningful and constructive. Regarding solfege and intonation, new intervals and different difficulties have been included, within melodies with a wide range of characters, prioritising musicality before technical difficulty, upon which teachers will have previously worked (see teacher’s book).
